Odihi's is a Black-led non-for-profit dedicated to educating, equipping, and empowering young Black girls and women
through coaching, workshops, and mentorships.
OUR FOUNDING STORY
Odihi was birth out of the struggles and pain of Black women who have had to fight, crawl, and work hard to get to where they are now. The lack of Black women in positions of leadership is a gap and narrative Odihi wants to change by nurturing the talents of Black girls and women so they can attain their potential and walk in their greatness.
A recent NACE study shows Black students accounted for 6.6 percent of the nearly 4,000 participating graduating seniors, but just 6.0 percent of the paid internship went to Black students; at the same time, they accounted for 7.3 percent of unpaid internship - meaning they are underrepresented as paid interns and overrepresented as unpaid interns.
Odihi is the bridge and a vital missing piece in a puzzle that will help connect a picture, help realize a dream, and create opportunities for other Black girls and women to thrive.
